Management of stem borer insect pests: ‘Mitrakida® - SB’ is an effective and environmentally safe solution for the management of stem borer insect pests. ‘Mitrakida® - SB’ contains infective juvenile of EntomoPathogenic Nematodes (EPN). ‘Mitrakida® - SB’ kills pests within 24-48 hours if processed properly as per instructions through its unique mechanism of action.
Dosage and method of application for stem borer: Use 1 to 2 g per bore. Take 1-2g of formulation and insert it in the identified stem borer hole and light irrigate the treatment area.
Especially for cashew and mango trees use 150-250 g per tree for stem drenching. Light irrigate the stem with water then apply the powder round the stem and then spray water gently to drench. Application is to be done by broadcasting or spot application. Post application light irrigation is necessary immediately.
Tolerance to chemicals: The infective juveniles are tolerant to most agrochemicals including herbicides, fungicides.
